Counselors In Training

All Counselors in Training (CITs) must be at least 13 years of age or older.  As a CIT, you will be required to work alongside qualified counselor(s) in order for you to begin to learn and understand the demands and responsibilities of a counselors position.  A member of our staff will be responsible to guide you along the way and to make sure that you get the most out of your CIT experience.

CIT meetings will be held weekly to discuss your experiences both positive and negative.  Each week will focus on a different area in order to ensure a well rounded learning experience.  Examples of weekly focus areas include Confidence, Volunteering, Attitude, Communication, Teamwork, Responsibility, Perserverance and Setting Goals.  CITs are also required to complete any pre-season training that is being offered by PCDC.

The fee for being a CIT is $500 for 8 weeks.
