Curriculum

Our monthly calendars are carefully coordinated by the teachers and represent the important activities and specials that take place within the classroom. These calendars are sent home to the parents on the first day of each month, to be used as a guide.

Where the Connection Begins

At Palisades, we believe that preschool is the place where children are most likely to develop a positive attitude toward school – establishing a connection between their early learning experience and how they will respond to and pursue future educational endeavors. Our mission is to create the most positive connection possible, which is why all Palisades personnel are extremely sensitive to each child’s development, learning style, and way of being in the world.

With low student-to-teacher ratios, our faculty is able to provide personalized attention to each child guiding them through highly engaging, multi-sensory learning programs.

  • Productive play-based, hands-on activities engineered to develop, stimulate, and sustain a child’s emerging skills
  • Specialized teaching methods that integrate reading, writing, and mathematical skills into theme-based units that intrigue young children

All of our classes are active with hands-on experiences in a safe and trusting environment. Children become learners, who will be able to take risks, think independently and most of all enjoy learning. Our daily curriculum takes each experience into all levels of research. Children might use clay to mold a dinosaur, gather books to enjoy on the subject, work on a dinosaur puzzle or bring in some of their personal dinosaur collection to share and discuss with the class. Children are always encouraged to work at their own pace. Parent feedback tells us how well prepared their children are for their next grade level.
