Sharon Jameson
Closter Lower School

My name is Sharon Jameson, and I am happy to be a part of Palisades Country Day School as an Assistant teacher in the lower school, three-year-old class. I was originally hired as a Head Counselor for the summer camp, I loved the environment, the personalities of the staff and the comfort of the parents whose children were in my care over the summer so when I was asked to join for the school year I jumped at the opportunity.

I originally began a career in advertising in Chicago, Illinois and relocated to New York finding a passion for working with children in an after-school program teaching basic skills and tutoring children ages 6-12 years old. I moved on to early education working for various programs in NY. I have a Certificate of Developmental Advancement in Infant, Toddler and Preschool Programs and I bring over 25 years of early childhood experience with me to the Palisades classroom.

I am proficient in identifying the needs and strengths of each child, and support a healthy classroom environment for the individual child and for the classroom group as a whole. I believe in nurturing students’ confidence, motor skills, healthy habits and social skills. I love decorating, entertaining, volunteering and making people happy in whatever ways I can.
