Jennifer Jung is delighted to join the Palisades family as an assistant teacher. Though she has worked at incredible early learning centers in the area, she is blown away by what Palisade’s provides for its families and staff. She attributes much of her caring and protective nature towards children to her brothers, who are 8 and 10 years her junior. As a high school student, her first job was at the local preschool. During this time, she volunteered at Pascack Valley Hospital and the Kindergarten summer program at church.
She pursued her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University in New Brunswick majoring in Criminal Justice and Sociology. There, she worked on the implementation of the Juvenile Detention Alternative database as a Middlesex County Courthouse intern. The exposure to individuals working tirelessly behind the scenes advocating for children left a significant impression on her.
Upon graduation, Miss Jung worked in Account Management for companies that make design products/architectural finishes. Ultimately, she decided to return to what she has always loved. She resides in River Vale with her parents and her cat, Journey. He was found on a street in Fort Lee and rescued by C.L.A.W.S. of Closter. In her spare time, Miss Jung volunteers with River Vale Volunteer Ambulance Corp. She is pursuing her EMT Certification in the hopes of "lessening the burdens of our local ambulances.”
