I founded Palisades Preschool, in 1965 in the town of Fort Lee, NJ; it was the first school in the area built specifically for the young child. With much success, I was encouraged to broaden my educational philosophies to a nearby town and in 1993; I opened a second location in Closter, NJ introducing the same quality of early childhood education offered in our Fort Lee school. This new campus has two buildings, the Lower School (exclusively for toddlers and three year olds), an Upper School (exclusively for Pre-Kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten); as well as, a summer camp geared specifically to the young child. Our campus boasts three heated pools, a state of the art splash park, a sports field with basketball courts, a food court/kitchen, and four buildings that house our campers for the summer.
I am the Mother of two children and the proud grandmother of five. My husband, Richard, and I established the Hubschman Library in the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack. I enjoy reading to the children in both schools. I believe all children should learn to enjoy the value and joy of getting ready to read.
I am happy to have discovered my passion to work with the young child and to offer them a school in which they can bloom and thrive; because there is nothing more important in education than a good beginning. I am extremely proud of the contribution that I have made towards the education of the young child.
